SERP Research — Where NIRC Actually Ranks

Two interactive rank studies run after the content pipeline: a 3,519-SERP local visibility grid across Chicagoland, and a 2,401-query IOP depth crawl to ~top 100.

The grid establishes where visibility exists at all — the shape and reach of the network. The depth crawl then answers the question the grid raised: when a service page is missing from page 1, is it absent or merely parked on page 2? (Answer: parked. That reframes the entire IOP work plan from creation to displacement.) Each dashboard is a self-contained interactive page — every chart has hover detail and an expandable table view.

Local visibility grid

9 non-brand keywords × 391 locations (384 tiered Chicagoland ZIPs + 7 geo-page markets) = 3,519 Google SERPs, page 1 only.

  • 17.6% either-surface visibility overall; the network is a NW lobe — ~50% north/west vs ~6% on the Chicago side of the 20–45 mi band.
  • The local pack is a tight 20–25 mile halo around Crystal Lake; organic reach is homepage-only (97% of hits).
  • Detox, IOP, PHP and residential service pages: zero organic page-1 appearances anywhere in the grid.
  • Geo pages win only where built out well (Buffalo Grove, Rockford, Kane County); Elgin is the weak spot inside 15 miles.

IOP depth crawl

15 IOP keywords × 29 Tier-1 ZIPs, each SERP paginated until NIRC appeared or ~top 100 — 435 SERPs, 2,401 queries.

  • IOP is a page-2 displacement problem, not build-from-zero: the adult IOP page ranks median #17–29 nearly everywhere.
  • Teen terms are the closest win — “adolescent iop” sits at median #14 with page-1 appearances at #3.
  • The local pack is already largely won: pack #1 in most Tier-1 ZIPs for near-me terms. The blue links are the deficit.
  • “virtual iop” is the one genuine gap: no organic, no pack, in any ZIP — national telehealth providers own it end to end.
